Make the most of Hamilton’s early release days with an afternoon full of movement, games, and excitement! Sports Zone 101 brings a variety of high-energy activities to the Hamilton Rec Center, including dodgeball, handball, capture the flag, wiffleball, basketball, football, and additional team games that keep kids engaged from start to finish. Designed for students in K–6th grade, this program encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and active play in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
SportsZone 101: LEGO Master Builders 9/9 (BUS TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE)
It takes years of practice, determination, patience, and dedication to become a Lego Master Builder. Your child is in luck though because we have worked tirelessly to perfect our Lego teaching technique – so much so that within six short weeks, your child will receive a certificate proving that they have completed their Master Builder Jr. training! Come join us as we explore and create our wildest imaginations. We will also re-create some real-world buildings, landscapes, feats of engineering, and Wonders of the World!

The Recreation Center is the place to be after school! Our structured program keeps children active, creative, and engaged in a safe, supervised environment. Participants rotate through fun, age-appropriate activities such as: Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Kickball, Relay Races and Team-Building Games. We focus on teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship, and building confidence — all while having FUN!
Arts & Crafts activities will include: painting, drawing, Seasonal crafts, DIY projects, group art creations and creative challenges.
Wicked Cool for Kids: Toy Factory 10/27
Science has never been so much fun! Take play to the next level as we make our own custom toys. Build a car launcher that shoots a race car across the room and have a race car derby! Make color-changing spinning tops, thaumatropes and amazing optical illusions.
SportsZone 101: Nerf & TOC Showdown 10/27
Get ready for a day packed with sports, NERF battles, and nonstop action! Participants will play a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, football, wiffle ball, and dodgeball, while also taking on exciting NERF games, capture-the-flag challenges, solo challenges, and team battles. Kids will build teamwork, strategy, sports skills, and confidence while staying active and having fun. Each participant will also receive a daily sports prize to add to their collection!
Wicked Cool for Kids: Super Slime Creations 11/3
More wicked cool slime creations! Make out-of-this-world alien slime and fun polka dot slime. Look to the stars when you make shimmering galactic slime and choose your own smell for super smelly slime! Keep the science going while you test your slime creations to see which one is the stretchiest and which one is the bounciest.
