This class will focus on the very basic skills of basketball. Through the use of fun and creative games, our coaches will introduce hand-eye coordination skills that will begin to build the foundation of necessary basketball skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. We will also discuss important concepts like spacing, defensive strategies, and conditioning. As their skills begin to develop, our goal is to help each player increase their self-confidence and independence, preparing them for the next level of play.

Join us for a FUN running program that will focus on proper warm-up, running technique, cool down, and stretches. We will utilize many games and age appropriate running activities to make you an all-around better athlete. Bring a water bottle and appropriate sneakers for running. The Youth Running Program is for boys and girls. T-Shirt included. Parent volunteers are needed to make running club successful! Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Our 4 and 5 year old participants utilize creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting.You must also register with Soccer Shots.  After you register on the Hamilton-Wenham Rec site, Soccer Shots will send you a link to register on their site.  Soccer Shots charges a $35 annual enrollment fee once per year.  If you’ve paid the annual enrollment fee within the last year, the Soccer Shots system will not charge you.  But you will still have to sign their waiver.

Knucklebones has designed a program to enhance gross motor skills, athletic fundamentals, physical exercise, creative movement, and fun! Each class your child will play a myriad of different, skill enhancing athletic activities and games. From learning to kick using RhinoSkin balls to practicing throwing, playing Messy Backyard and much more, we make sure your child is active and having fun while developing a passion for play that will stay with them! The entire program is supported using a plethora of unique and age appropriate equipment. Sneakers are required.

Knucklebones newest class! A mixture of movement and gross motor, which combines running, jumping, obstacle courses, etc..  Each week will be something different, imitating a mini American Ninja Warrior course.

We are redefining kid food! Each class presents students with opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned!Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. We know allergies and can work around them, making sure that everyone is having fun and staying safe

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM    Adult Pickleball Lessons w/ Sue - Pickleball Lessons Skills & Drills (Spring 2026) Session 1
Skills & Drills: This 4 week clinic will review and practice fundamental skills utilized to play more competitive points.   We will spend each session drilling different skills at the four aeras of the court: the kitchen, the “hot zone,”  the transition zone and the base line.  We will briefly review serve, return of serve, and then focus on strategy getting through the transition zone and up to the net to play out the point.  We will review and practice the volley, the block, the drop shot, back hand shots, improving dink shots, dealing with fast balls, communication with partners, as well as court positioning.  Near the end of each session, you will have the opportunity to play out points while receiving on court instruction.Low Intermediate: This 5-week drill clinic will focus on the skills you need during different aspects of the game.  Each week the instructors will demonstrate and then help you practice the essential drills for this higher level of play.  Instructor will apply the new learning through on court instruction as you play points out.   The focus will be on mastering the essential shots to bring players to a higher level of play. Participants should have a consistent understanding/demonstration of the serve, return of serve, and be open to developing their softer pickleball shots.    This clinic will have two instructors to assist in your learning process

Skills & Drills: This 4 week clinic will review and practice fundamental skills utilized to play more competitive points.   We will spend each session drilling different skills at the four aeras of the court: the kitchen, the “hot zone,”  the transition zone and the base line.  We will briefly review serve, return of serve, and then focus on strategy getting through the transition zone and up to the net to play out the point.  We will review and practice the volley, the block, the drop shot, back hand shots, improving dink shots, dealing with fast balls, communication with partners, as well as court positioning.  Near the end of each session, you will have the opportunity to play out points while receiving on court instruction.Low Intermediate: This 5-week drill clinic will focus on the skills you need during different aspects of the game.  Each week the instructors will demonstrate and then help you practice the essential drills for this higher level of play.  Instructor will apply the new learning through on court instruction as you play points out.   The focus will be on mastering the essential shots to bring players to a higher level of play. Participants should have a consistent understanding/demonstration of the serve, return of serve, and be open to developing their softer pickleball shots.    This clinic will have two instructors to assist in your learning process

Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned!Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. All abilities are welcome! Our Adult Intermediate Adult Tennis Program is designed for those who already have the basic tennis strokes, can maintain a rally, and already know how to Serve, Rally and Score. It will consist of improving technique and will introduce singles/doubles strategies for match play.

Say yes to chess! Join Chess Wizards for an interactive, scholastic program where kids will collaborate, gain confidence, improve chess skills, meet new friends, and work out their most powerful muscle – their brains! Appropriate for beginner to intermediate chess players, our program includes instruction in tactics and strategy, as well as individual game play. All students will receive a trophy, puzzle folder and wizards t-shirt. Come join the fun!!!
 
4:30 PM - 5:00 PM    Steve Nugent's Karate Institute: Youth Karate Ages 3-12 - Little Dragons Youth Karate Ages 3-5 (Spring 2026)
This program provides introductory karate skills, teaches proper stances, breathing, stretching, self-discipline, coordination and practical self defense. All uniforms and belts are included.5 Year olds now part of Little Dragons and 6-12 year olds are together in 1 class. Instructor(s): Steve Nugent & Staff All uniforms and belts are included.
