Patton Park Program Update - New State Guidelines

In conjunction with the State’s updated re-opening plan,  changes were made to the Recreation Camps and Programs Health and Safety Standards for opening guidelines which our department will implement. These changes go into effect on May 29th. The most impactful changes to the program are listed below.

Masks

Per the Governor’s latest mask order masks will not be required for participants and staff members while at the Park Program.  Individuals may choose to wear masks at their own discretion.  Participants and Staff will be required to have a mask with them in the case of an emergency weather situation where we need to move inside and proper social distancing cannot be maintained.

Group sizes

Group sizes can increase from the previous mandated 25 participants.  This summer we have increased the number of groups, therefore group sizes will be fairly consistent with the previous mandate, if not lower in some instances.

Mixing of Groups

Although the restrictions have loosened from “mandated” to “best practices”  our program will minimize (as much as possible) the mixing of groups during games and activities.  During snack, lunch, or while seated while watching entertainment, we will keep our groups separate from one another.

Health Screening Forms

Daily Health Screening forms WILL NOT be required to participate in Recreational Camps and Program (effective May 29th).  We do ask that all participants are screened at home and if they are not feeling well, they do not attend the program.

Field Trips

Weekly Field Trips will be a GO for the Summer.
The session by session list for the Jr. All Stars (entering 4th grade) can be found by clicking HERE
The session by session list for the Jr. All Stars (entering 5th grade) can be found by clicking HERE
The session by session list for the All Stars (entering 6th and 7th grade) can be found by clicking HERE

Field Trips are a separate registration this year and can be completed by using the links above.  Consistent with years past, if participants choose to not attend a field trip they will not be able to attend the program that day as staff will be accompanying the participants on the field trip.  Due to the fact that we need to provide accurate head counts for our field trips, registration will need to take place well in advance of the field trip date.

Staff and Participants will need to follow the applicable face covering policy of the location of the Field Trip.  All field trips for this summer are at outside locations.

Staff and Participants will need to follow all applicable bus policies while traveling to and from the field trip location.

Registration

Registration is still available for all of our programs those spots are filling up quickly.  Registration can be made on our website www.hwrecreation.com.
